The 7 Steps to Carpet Cleaning Success

Preclean
Vacuum carpet to remove all loose debris. This is
best done with an upright vacuum or vacuum with
a power brush.
Apply Treatment to Stains
Find any stains or isolated soiling and treat with
appropriate chemicals. Extract with spotter or
box extractor.
Pre-Spray Main Carpet Areas

Using spraying equipment, apply pre-spray
chemical to main carpet areas. If deodorising, apply
deodorising treatment before pre-spray according
to product instructions
Rinse With Water - Elevated Temperature
The best way to apply hot water is using a hot water
heater on your carpet machine.
Agitate Carpet with Power Brush
Powerbrush agitation dislodges dirt from the base of
carpet 昀椀bers which will have been partially dislodged
by the hot water.
Extract
Chemical, water and dirt is now soluble and can
be sucked up into the recovery tank of the carpet
machine.
Facilitate Carpet Drying

Air昀氀ow is now needed to speed up the drying
process. This is best done by opening windows, doors
and utilising carpet blowers to create strong air昀氀ow
for water to evaporate.
